The FINEST UMF® Manuka Honey from New Zealand.

The Outstanding Properties of ManukaVille UMF® Manuka Honey

For more than 20 years, Dr Peter Molan MBE, from the University of Waikato, New Zealand, has been conducting researches into the unique properties of various New Zealand honeys and for thousands of years, honey has been known for its special properties. As a result of his research, Dr. Molan has shown that certain honeys have a greater range of attributes than others, and the honey that comes from some varieties of the New Zealand Manuka bush is one of these.

Manuka honey with UMF® (or Unique Manuka Factor®) is produced by honeybees collecting nectar from the native Manuka trees (Leptospermum scoparium), an abundant flowering bush covered in white or pink flowers, in the spring and summer.

There are a number of assays and techniques including newly emerging work on determining what Manuka is that will be available to the consumer to verify the origin and provenance of this distinctive product. The UMF® rating is a measure of the attributes and values that make up Manuka honey, and assures purity and quality.

Only producers who are governed and licensed by the UMF® Honey Association (UMFHA) are allowed to use the UMF® trademark to differentiate this very special honey from conventional honeys. Our UMF® Manuka honey is packed in New Zealand by Licensee Number 1037. For more information see
